Like Ayurveda , Aromatherapy is also an ancient healing method. Egyptians, Romans , Arabs and Indians all had knowledge to use this healing. The mummies that Egyptians preserved, they used aroma oils like myrrh, frankincense, cinnamon.

Aromatherapy is the use of oils which are extracted from plants, seeds, bark, roots, grass, flowers, leaves, fruits. Today also the extraction method is the same as 3000 years ago: steam distillation. The oils are not sticky, they are very light and volatile, so if you leave a bottle open all oil will evaporate. Oils are accepted very easily by our body for the oils have same chemical composition as our body naturally has.

We don’t need to use too much, sometimes just a drop will heals us, for aroma oils are very powerful. How ? Here’s an example: Rose oil –approximately one tonne of roses will give you 1 kg of oil. Each country specialises in a particular plant life which grows in abundance due to soil, water, climatic conditions, making it possible to extract essential oil. So we have aromatherapy oils from all over the world like lavender from France, tea tree from Australia, frankincense from Oman, just to name a few. Because they are so powerful , they are very rarely used as internal medicine. The oils are administered through inhalation, application, massage, diffuser, bath, etc.

Essential oils are used for cold , cough to cancer and also mind related issues like anxiety, low self esteem, low confidence, fear. I use oils along with other healing  modality like Acupressure, Energy Healing, Candle healing.
